Room and Board
Summerflute attendees have 3 options for housing:
1) Affordable housing is available at the Columbus State University student apartments.
Each apartment is a 2 bedroom suite with 2 baths. Up to 4 people can share a suite (2 per room).
$16/night for a shared bedroom/bathroom.
$32/night for your own room/bathroom.
$64/night for your own 2 bedroom/2bathroom suite.
Each guest will need to bring:
Towels, Sheets for extra long twin beds, Blankets, and Pillows. [NOTE: Towels, sheets and blankets (but not pillows) can be rented through Summerflute for a fee of $10 for the whole week. Please contact Meerenai Shim by June 1st to reserve your linens.]
DOWNLOAD the housing reservation form and send it directly to Columbus State University’s student housing to insure that you have a room.
2) Comfortable accommodations are available at the Rothschild-Poundhouse Inn a few blocks away from the Schwob School of Music.
If 10 or more rooms are booked by April 23rd, each room (up to two occupants per room) is $150 per night. The rate includes daily gourmet breakfast, Wi-Fi and an afternoon wine reception with hors d’oeuvres daily from 5:30-7:30 pm.

NOTE: The Rothschild-Poundhouse Inn offers a special rate to any Military or Govt. worker (Military/Government I.D.): $85.00 avg/night for 1 person (max capacity 4; add $40 per extra guest)
3) The Marriott Hotel is also available a few blocks from the Schwob School of Music. The Marriott offers microwaves and microfridges, coffee makers, iron/ironing boards in every guest room.

Meals:
Attendees are on their own for all meals except for a group dinner on Monday. There are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The Columbus State University student apartments have communal kitchens (but no pots/pans/utensils/plates) available for those staying there.
Travel
Flying into Atlanta
The Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University is located 100 miles south of Atlanta’s Harstfield-Jackson International Airport. Columbus is easily accessed using a very reliable airport shuttle service (Groome Transportation) which leaves the airport every 30 minutes and takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive in Columbus. If you choose to rent a car at the Atlanta airport instead, driving directions can be found below.
Flying into Columbus
Columbus Airport is serviced by Delta and American Airlines. When booking your flight, you might want to compare the cost of flying directly to Columbus with the cost of flying to Atlanta and using Groome Transportation, the airport shuttle service to Columbus.
Driving Directions
From the North (Atlanta)
Take I-85 South (50 miles) to I-185. Take I-185 South to Exit 10 (39 miles). Proceed on US 80 West 3.1 miles to Exit 1 – Downtown Columbus. Turn right on 10th Street. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter.
From the South (Fort Benning)
Take Victory Drive west. Turn right on Veterans Parkway. Turn left on 10th Street. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter.
From the East
Take state highway 85 west into Columbus. This becomes Manchester Expressway. Turn left on Veterans Parkway (Highway 27). Turn right on 10th Street. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter.
From the West (Auburn, Opelika & Birmingham)
East on Hwy. 280 to Phenix City
Cross the river on the Oglethorpe Bridge, proceed to the first traffic signal in front of the Civic Center. Turn left on Veterans Parkway. Proceed North to 10th Street. Turn left on 10th Street. Continue to Broadway. Turn left on Broadway. The RiverCenter for the Performing Arts and the Schwob School of Music are on the left side of the 900 block of Broadway. Parking is available in the parking garage across the street from the RiverCenter.
